Oil Level Illuminator
| I got tired of hunting around for a flashlight so that I
could check my oil level, so I mounted an amber LED on a bracket and screwed the
bracket to an unused threaded hole in the crankcase. I wired the LED to the
running light wire through a 470 ohm current limiting resister. Now when I turn
on the ignition, the amber light makes it easy to check the level. Here is a photo of the bracket and LED.
